Well I find that I enjoy TV series the most if I don't have to wait for a new episode... Having them sitting there on my harddrive, being able to watch a whole season over a weekend is pretty cool. The wait for the last episode of Breaking Bad for example... man, I hate a week-long suspense.

It's going to be interesting when the Zombies start showing up.

Spoil much? Zombies?!?!?!?!?! Do they meet up with the merry gang from the Walking Dead? Does somebody kill off the Sheriff's wife? Please???

I loved the 1st season of Game of Thrones, watched it in one day. :) And then they kill off a bunch of important characters and the dragons hatch? (While we're spoiling things...) And then it's "thank you, please check back in a year or so"? I think the best course of action for me is to wait 10 years for HBO to finish the run and put the whole thing out in a box set. Then I can spend a couple of weeks watching it. And after that I'll read the books.

Solid plan.

Argh I've missed the first installment of the second season

But i see its on at 10.15pm tomorrow night on sky atlantic so set to record on sky, maybe this is a repeat of last nights episode?

Oh, this show has almost everything! So far other than the opening credits -no transformers- YET! (thats book 7 :p)
and just you wait, you don't know how close you are on the above "guess". But - knowing how the first season went, that will be season 5 or 6.
The "Bad" thing is the books are so bloody intense, we might have to wait a season or 2 to get "Back" to certain character's story arc, which will be vey annoying to some.

Why don't these boards have Spoiler Tags? hehe

I personally love the series. I haven't read the book because now that I am old I read slow and it puts me to sleep. I wish I could read though. Back before I got old I used to read all the time. Now the best I can do is comic books because you can finish them quickly. I think I might try and read these books though.

Spoiler Alert
This Season's new drinking game will be you have to take a shot every time the phrase is uttered "You know Nothing, John Snow"
lol

oh wow its not often i like tv series these days but game of thrones second season is really good.

Every episode at least one shocking occurrence happens

I can barely keep up with everything that's going on

Season Just ended Sunday night. Like last season, the very last shot was epic! We finally see some of the "Undead"!
Oh, I ca't wait for season 3 even though I have read the books like 20 times now/

Yes, the end of the final episode of season 2 was great. Can't wait for the next one. I've only read the first 2 books so the next series is going to be all new for me. Have decided not to read any more until I've seen them. :)

Regarding Walking Dead. I hope series 3 is better than the second. That got really boring stuck in one location! It has to improve or face being cancelled.

Falling Skies is back soon too. Quite like that one.

But, why do most American Sci-Fi series ruin it by focusing on a young son of the main character?.. kids ages about 10.

Take a shot every time the word "bas-tard" is said would be lethal!

I've not seen it myself, but my brother raves about it. He's read all the books and loves the series. One day he'll convince me to watch it!

So, I eventually did get round to watching this, and now I've seen up to Monday's episode with the infamous 'red wedding'. All I can say is "wow". Currently ploughing my way through the books as well!

I've got the books on my e-reader, just never seem to find a moment to read them. Gonna have to buy them on the kindle store so I can read them on my phone at work I think. :picard

The Red wedding is one of the only times whilst watching a TV serialisation, when my wife and I sat with our mouths open, shocked at what we had just seen.
Game of Thrones is just fantastic entertainment, and I am sorry that I was such a late adopter. I am waiting until the end of the current season before buying any of the books as I don't want to "spoiler" myself. ;)

this is a great show I had to watch over 3 weeks and I'm amazed at the show

and the red wedding was just amazing and sad at the same time

Is it bad that I am hoping for a good ol' REVENGE? :D

I watched all the episodes so far but now that I have the audio book(s) of the first season and listen to it on my way to and from work, I find myself wanting to watch the first season again

I've only been reading the books after watching each series, as each of the books is basically each series. I'm amazed so far by how closely they have managed to stick to the books and to realise it as a series.

The Red Wedding definitely was a shock, but then we should come to expect it as the writer isn't scared to kill off major characters that have been there since the beginning.

BTW, has anyone also been watching Banshee? This weeks episode of that was quite a shocker too, as it showed in graphic detail how he killed someone in Prison.

Is TV getting a bit to graphic?

This is an awesome series, they really are pretty faithful to the books. I missed the red wedding episode but I'll watch it later, I do know what happens, from the books. I remember how shocked I was! He was the hero, the one that was going to make everything alright!

and lol @ "you nor nuthin John Snor"
