Never heard of sleeping dogs.
New york city was much better than streets of LA.

Sleeping Dogs is the third True Crime game (it's a recent release)... It was originally going to be called 'True Crime: Hong Kong' before Square Enix rescued it :).

How about Hotline Miami?

Or retro city rampage:)

Hunter on the Amiga, was a 3D action adventure game and one of my favourite Amiga titles.

2012 - 2014...

Gone backwards again and I am trying out "Driver Parallel Lines." on the original Xbox. You have to be so patient with this game - the shooting/aiming is awful and the Police can be a little too attentive but forgive this game it's obvious faults and it's pretty enjoyable - the racing tracks are really fun as well. - This game is definitely worth a go but be patient with it.

Just started sleeping dogs definitive edition on my xb1.

Liking it so far, only played 40mins or so.

Finished "Driver Parallel Lines" and I really enjoyed it! It has a great story, nice cars and a good soundtrack - the driving is fun and some of the main missions are pretty challenging. If you are into old Xbox games and can forgive them the odd quirk (like poor aiming in this instance) then you might enjoy this if you like GTA sort of games. It feels a lot less congested than something like GTA Vice City but the game play through out is admittedly a lot less varied. Still a great game and certainly not deserving of some of the poor reviews I have read about it.

Persevere through the first few missions and the game/story really opens up.

Suppose I better try and finish Vice City now maybe...

I'm really getting into sleeping dogs, some of the fighting was annoying at first but once you get the hang of it then it's fun and I'm pretty much at the end now.

I'd highly recommend it, it's out on PC too if you want the definitive edition otherwise you can still get it on XB360 :)

Sleeping Dogs was given away for free on PS Plus & Games with Gold so i own it on both 360 and PS3 but never actually played it past the opening sequence. I might have to check it out though.

It's worth a play, good game and good story.

Suggest you do a lot of side missions to get your abilities up though otherwise fighting can be a drag.

I've just started the download from the PSN store. I recently had to replace the hdd in my PS3 (kept getting lockups and slow loading) so only have GTA V installed at the moment

I had a blast with Saints Row The Third and Saints Row IV. I've been contemplating about getting Saints Row 2 but that might be too serious compared to the latter two.

I just remembered that I have The Getaway in my library. I needed to set up my PS2 to play that.

Saints Row has always been a light heated, you should get 2 :)

After all these years I have finally finished GTA Vice City - I completed all the main missions and all the side missions, got all the Assets and safe houses - got most of the hidden packages and have played around a lot with the additional races and extras but I am going to call it a day there, there is no way I am going to get 100% completion - I have got all I want from the game now. I may replay it in time to enjoy the odd rampage here and there!

It is a tough game at times!

It was absolutely brilliant - still a fantastic game after all this time...

It certainly is Peter, I started playing through it again on my Android Pad but might have to load up the PC version.

If you still have a Playstation 2 you should get Vice City Stories as IIRC the story is interleaved.

(Or you could borrow my copy) + I have Liberty City Stories too.

Did I read somewhere that GTA San Andreas is getting a remake too?

That was by far my favorite of the series, well a close tie with GTA V anyway :)

San Andreas got a hd 360 conversion with achievements and is available through the xbox live marketplace. It was £2.99 but they've now hiked up the price to £11.99 :(

It's a shame I didn't get it when it was £2.99 :(

Well not using the 360 right now anyway and perhaps it will come out on XBoxOne too?

To be fair though there are a lot of good mods for PC if you want to play through again in HD.

I have now started GTA San Andreas and I am going to try and finish this also before I move on to the later GTA games (IV & V)
I noticed that there was a remastered version out now but I am going to stick to playing it on my Old Xbox - I have a component cable for my Xbox and it gives a little bit of a sharper picture over the RGB Scart cable - although if I'm honest I thought Vice City looked better than San Andreas regardless of what ever cable you used. It looks a much bigger game than Vice City so I know I am going to have to put some hours in on this one!

Steve (or anyone else reading), have you finished Vice City Stories or Liberty City Stories on PS2? I always over looked these two titles to be honest - I would be interested to hear if people think they are worth playing.

Hey Pete, the stories games were originally psp titles but well worth playing, the story line in vice city stories is especially good.

San an is awesome, I've played through several times. I looked into the remastered version and it's a port from the mobile version so forget it. If you have a nice picture on xbox stick with that or consider the pc version.
