Recently purchased a very clean A1200 boxed and the seller GAVE me a boxed A500 for my trouble. The case needs a severe dose of retrobrighting so when i strip it your thread will be of great help so a BIG thankyou for sharing
Will everything work fine without an installed battery or is the coin battery hack an absolute must ?

You're fine without it altogether TBH. But replacing it does mean that Workbench can keep time.

Anyone know a good place to learn soldering and repairs? I've been looking for course locally (Melbourne, Australia) but haven't found much as yet.
