Not every time, but sometimes when I turn my machine on, I get a green screen flash up immediately then white, then workbench boot screen, everything works fine no problems loading or anything, but am I to be concerned?

If it is very quick flash immediately after power up (and only after power up), it is normal and caused by color palette (inside Denise) contents being partially random before KS boot code resets it after short delay. I have seen full white, full black and full red and it can depend on Denise revision and model. It has nothing to do with boot error colors.

Cannot thank you enough, you have confirmed what I thought was a load of rubbish, cheers my friend..

The boot colours are a load of rubbish period and you can't rely on them at all.
I repaired an Amiga 1200 that was coming up red when cold and it would turn to green after it warmed up.
It was a single bad connection between Alice and Paula (caused by leaking 22uF SMD caps in the middle of the board).
If there is a fault the Amiga is essentially not working correctly so you can't trust the colours.

Yes and no.. Colors are technically 100% correct but actual reason is usually interpreted far too literally.

For example green screen (bad chip ram) means "writing and then reading from chip ram didn't return same data", it does not necessarily mean chip ram itself is broken. (RAM chips probably are the least likely components to get damaged). Same with red screen, "rom checksum does not match calculated checksum", it does not necessarily mean rom chip is bad. (Too badly damaged ROM chip would simply cause instant hang)

Yes, that's what I mean. Fault with green screen is almost never simple bad chip RAM or bad Agnus. I've found the Amiga's chips are very reliable. A lot of the time it's either a bad socket/bad connection or broken track caused by battery damage. In extreme cases battery corrosion can get into chips and they no longer function.
In another repair I did, an A500+ had a green screen and it was a bad 74LS244 at location U12 (it was green and corroded).
I laugh when people reply to posts and simply parrot the color codes when someone says they have a green screen. It's a myth and it's been busted ;-)
