Hi all, just joining here to hopefully contribute and learn from others here. I grew up with an Amiga 500 my parents bought me pretty much the year it came out and used it for gaming, composing music with Music-X, and a little bit of animation here and there.
I'm hitting some intense nostalgia related to Amiga and diving in again. So far I've converted all my personal floppies to ADF files on my PC, mostly all the music I created back in the late 80's / early 90's. I've also recorded these to 48/24 wav files which has been a blast to revisit!
Lastly I just bought a HC508 accelerator card and am in the process of upgrading my A500 to 1mb+ chip ram. Just purcahsed a A500 revision 6A motherboard and am waiting for it to show up in the mail and test out. The HC508 is amazing, hard to believe how fast WHDload games are able to launch on a real A500.
It's a strange feeling to be nerding out this hard on my A500 in 2017, and completely confusing anyone that I tell about it. Especially when I explain how much money I've spent in the last month. Anyways hello!
