Hi everyone, i am the same Dedale from the EAB and LemonAmiga forums. :)

I live in Brussels, Belgium which i often call Absurdistan.

Nostalgic of an Amiga i never had, i have finally taken then decision to acquire one. Under good conditions. And by that i mean the computer and the sale. This is why i want to buy it trough vetted channels and under the advice of wiser and more experienced Amiga lovers. I was therefore advised to come here and be patient. Being in a difficult situation, i became too rigid about spending money on things that are not absolutely necessary like toys but i was wrong. Recovery is also about experiencing fun things without feeling guilty about it. I have the funds.

I grew up with a C64 but was wowed later by screenshots of Amiga games in my father's magazines. And later my buddies's magazines which were like women's magazines, adverts disguised as information. But it doesn't matter. At 12, i wanted two things, an Amiga 500 and something with a bimbo three years older than me i can't mention here by fear of running afoul of the rules.

Of course, my desire grew with the years until Tie Fighter came and i began to want an even more elusive PC. while i am very glad i did not get what i wanted from the aforementioned bimbo then, i think i should have got ahold of said Amiga sooner, i would have enjoyed it a lot. Even after Doom came out.

I have an old CRT TV. I also have a working C64 i love dearly. I connect it to the TV via an AV cable. Some of my old 5.25" diskettes still work.

I have read the rules. I will read them again as they are plenty and sometimes quite specific. I understand they are here to protect us from what i exactly want to avoid.

I am also very willing to take any advice the wiser ones can give me.

P.S. I had written an intro thread on EAB and Lemon if you are curious: https://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=118381

Welcome to :check:AmiBay!

It's indeed the right place to get some Amiga gear from true Amiga enthusiasts.
I hope you'll find here the one you were looking for since your childhood!
