Hello Everyone,
I wanted to take a second and introduce myself. I'm a youngish guy but my Dad kind of started me out in this hobby with the old computers and parts he kept over the years. He and I are both engineers and enjoy working on electronics. Recently, I got an A2000 from a co-worker and I finished fixing it this weekend. I had to remove the leaky battery and replace the dead PSU with an newer ATX model with an adapter. I also went ahead and recapped everything. It's really great now that it's been restored and I'm super excited. Its a rev 4.4 board and has KS 2.05 and OS 2.1 on the 120 mb SCSI drive, 2mb of fast ram, 2x floppy drives, and a Microway AGA 2000 FlickerFixer. I also have some cool accessories such as shutter goggles and some photo/video input output devices that came along with it. I've been looking around for new parts and planning what I want to do with it but I really need help and advice since this is my first Amiga so I figured I would make an introduction. I like the looks of the HxC floppy emulators and the Wicher 500i and some of the other newer accelerators that would also give me IDE/CF storage. I would like to get a Vampire but I want to use it with a CRT and I think the cabling/scaling issues would be a pain. Anyways, I look forward to working on this machine in the future and enjoying the hobby with everyone else. Thanks.
