Hi retro-friends!
Just wanted to briefly introduce myself before I go trawling on your forum for deals
As a North American, I grew up with mainly PCs and the occasional Mac. I've been collecting semi-vintage Macs (mid to late 90s Power Macs, mostly), but have become super interested in the Amiga lately, after reading "The Future Was Here", despite never using them in their day. I'm most interested in the Amiga 3000 - to me it seems to embody the original Amiga spirit while still having enough creature comforts to make it a "modern" workstation - I'm particularly a big fan of its VGA port
. I did buy one a couple of years ago off eBay, but the whole thing went quite pear-shaped
icard (long story, the tl;dr is undisclosed leaky battery + botched repair job). To be honest that's what brought me here - I can't find another one anywhere and was hoping to pick one up.
Cheers,
Adam
