Hey guys,

As posted elsewhere I recently acquired an A1200.
Unfortunately the included original PSU gives an unhealthy sounding buzz whilst in use, so I have discontinued using it to prevent the magic smoke from appearing.
Fitzsteve is kindly sending me a known good A500 PSU, but in the long term I'd rather not be using PSUs that are almost as old as I am!

So I am after someone who can hack a modern PC PSU to make it usable with my A1200.

I can provide any and all parts of the original PSU that will be needed for the hack, and the new PSU if you tell me what's required.

I will gladly reimburse you for the time and return postage.

I have one here that I no longer use. Its been tested with an amiga and is working great. I just need to bob an on/off switch on it. I can take photos of it on the morrow if you like. It has the amiga power cord and a few nolex adapters just in case they are needed.

Hi Mate,

Here are teh pictures of it - it's nothing exiting really.

I have mainly used it for powering external drives, hence the extra 2 hdd molex connectors and 1 floppy connector. These can be removed if you wish. It was used for a short while as my Amiga PSU (A1200 with accelerator), but I fell out with my Amiga and sold it on. I haven't attached the on/off switch yet, but will do if you want it.

I may have a mains lead for it somewhere - if not I can get one for you.

Don't feel embarrassed if you don't want it - It isn't the prettiest of things!

As a fellow Leeds chap, I'll let it go for a nice round £10, which includes basic postage. I'll even offer a 1 month warranty on it!

PM me if you're interested. If not in this exact psu, I could mod a new one for you - just let me know what you're after.

Payment recieved, on/off toggle switch added. PSU packed in a somewhat suitable box, and posted today.
I sent it royal mail 2nd class, because I couldn't be bothered sorting out herpes to collect it
