Just joined AmiBay. I had wanted an Amiga for years, and I've collected all sorts of classic computers (including Amiga), but have never gotten around to many of them due to time.

Well, I've been going through things again, and I'm going to get/check out my Amigas.

I have a 1000 (unknown what expansions are in it if any).
I have 2 500s (one with 512K ? expansion and a GVP Impact II with 4M RAM, SCSI disk, and a 286 PC module, the other with a 4M RAM module), and lastly...
An Amiga 1200 with 120? M hard drive, and a GVP A1230 Turbo+ II with 68030-50 (no FPU), 4M RAM, and an A1291 SCSI card for the GVP card, and kickstart 3.0 ROMs.

I purchased Kickstart 3.1 some time ago as well as a set of OS floppies (and then never did get to the project).

I'm looking forward to experiencing the machines (mostly for games at this stage) to live the part of my youth that I never experienced :-) (couldn't afford it back then).

So, just saying high, and looks like there is a great active community here to check out !

Hi cwilbar, welcome to Amibay, I've just signed up too. That sounds like some great Amiga rigs you've got there, I must confess I don't know as much about Amiga as I do with DOS based systems. But I do seem to remember having fun playing a great Amiga game called Alien Breed at a friends house back in the day.
Enjoy your time on Amibay mate, regards Nutricula87.

I have now opened up mine, and am pleased with what I have found.

DKB megachip (2M ? chip ram) with Super Agnus and Kick switcher in the unit with a 4M BaseBoard
512K Amiga RAM expansion module on the unit that came with GVP Impact Series II with 52M SCSI drive (woo hoo! :-) ), and 2 x 2M SIMMS (I plan to make that 2 x 4M SIMMs as I have some 30 pin SIMMs around)
and My Amiga 1200 has ~100M IDE drive, and a GVP 68030-50 accelerator with 4M RAM and the GVP SCSI add on.
I also have a CD32 and Paravision SX1 and an Amiga 1000. I have not dug into those 2 yet.

IIRC I bought these either all from the same guy, or the 1200 may have been from an additional seller. I had no idea what lurked inside these things !

Clearly these were owned by one or more Amiga devotees.

Looking forward to getting these setup and working.
