Hi, my name is Martin and I'm from Cologne, Germany and I started my Commodore journey when I was 8 years old, about 35 years ago with a Commodore 128d (Blechdiesel). I used to be convinced that the only way to boot it up was to hold down the Commodore button while turning it on. Unfortunately, my parents ran into financial problems and had to sell my tin diesel a year or two later. This computer was still an investment back then. When everything was "back and running" they compensate with a 2x86 with 8MB RAM, a VGA card and a Soundblaster. Well, I enjoyed playing "Indiana Jones" and later "Monkey Island" in 256 colors with AdLib Sound, but somehow it wasn't the same. Years later, married with children, I told this story to my wife. Well, not exactly. Since I only use the c128 in C64 mode I had told her it was a C64 instead. She listened very carefully. For my 40th birthday I got a big box with a C64 (breadbin) and a vc1541. I fell in love again immediately. (To my wife and to my new old C64). Well that was 4 years ago and in between I bought another bread bin, another vc1541 and a vc1530. I'm still looking for a 1701/1702 to get at least one set complete. Unfortunately these are quite expensive these days. I am also looking for a 1350/1351 (mouse) and 1312 (paddle). Greetings from Cologne
