Hello folks, my name is Vedran and i am an mechanical engineer working in maritime industry. I am also keen computer afficionado since when i was just a jung lad. So why i am here? Not only that Commodore 64 was my first computer and Amiga my long lost dream but i always felt that those times brought machines with peronality. Since than i succumbed to a fast evolving and overmarketed PC and Amiga remained just my childhood dream! But recently i just got reminded of those lovely times and decided to search for an Amiga or two on the internet and finally i got not one but TWO Amiga 500 computer in almost pristine condition, at last my dream has come true! :-)
That is why i decided to join this nice community, to spring these babies back to life and since i am new to Amigas, to learn something from you Amigans :-)
Anyway, i am also keen on a computer graphics, electronics, RC model hobby, astronomy and many more things like mountain biking, sailing, archery and so on.
That's a few words about me folks. I hope to learn much about Amigas here.
Cheers! :-)

Hello and welcome :)
We have many similar hobbies
computer graphics (code?),
electronics (Arduino?),
RC model hobby (cars?),
astronomy (Reflector?) and
archery (SF Forged+)

cool :-)
Computer graphics...well, 3d modeling, vector graphics, technical design and such.
Electronics, general electronics, nothing specifis, where ever need takes me :-)
RC Hobby, aaaah, Helicopters, helicopters, some cars, sailboats and quadcopter ;-D
Astronomy, same as you, Newtonian reflector, 10" aperture Dobsonian.
As for archery i am mainly in crossbows (2 Horton, Stryker) some cool compound bows owned by my brother plus recurves too.

Oh and, of course, i am currently restoring two Amiga 500 (rev. 6a and rev 5).:-D

What 3d modelling software do you use? I use Lightwave and 3DS Max for all my real-time 3d (JEng5 is my current DirectX11 graphics engine). Do you do any low poly work? If so would you be interested in a games project at a latest date?

I have a quadcopter (Hubsan x4) and 4 Schumacher Cat (various versions). My most recent electronics project has been to make wireless Joysticks. This is ment to lead into replacing my RC transmitter and receiver and finally to build and code my own quadcopter. It's on hold again ATM thou due to updating my graphics engine and coding a shoot em up (Iridium - https://youtu.be/J284UnSnHuY).

I have never had a chance to have a go with a cross bow as they are regulated over here unlike recurve out compound bows. Me and one of my daughter's go once a week to our local club. I am average at best but gradually improving.

On the Amiga front I have a spare A4000 which I will probably be selling / swapping. It's got zero obvious battery damage but only recognise SIMMs as 1MB each which is odd? I also have a repaired A500+ (myself) to sell but it's not the best condition and needs a new membrane as one column of keys does not work. These are in addition to my own fully working (and better condition) A4000/040, A500+ and 2*A600. I need to reduce my Amiga collection.
