Hi everyone,
I just wanted to finally take the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a part-time tech YouTuber, who uses the same name (RetroTechBytes), and full-time student, studying Electrical Engineering (currently) so that I can take the Patent Bar.
I am very much looking forward to meeting a number of you, and I am very excited to learn from your experience and share mine.
I mostly focus on--and am most comfortable with--x86 hardware from the 8088 onward, but am at home with hardware 386-based and later. I do enjoy tinkering with old Macs, but I know little and would like to learn much more about the 68k architecture and early PPC Macs. Sun systems are something that I would very much like to work on and I am definitely interested in DEC Alpha systems and the like.
On the side, I am a trumpet player, and enjoy photography and watchmaking. I also dabble in vintage hi-fi and am a bit of an audiophile.
Sincerely,
RTB
