Hi all,

I've started to get back into Amigas in the last few years . The Amiga is what got me into computers and programming in the 90s and why I went on to write software for a living.

I've got a couple of 500s, 500+s and 600s. The plan is too refurb them all keeping but keep one stock whilst upgrading the other.

I've a single A1200 too but I'd love to get it (or another one) into a tower case at some point with lots of upgrades.

What upgrades should I be looking at for each machine?

Welcome! For the A1200 you absolutely need one of my mechanical keyboards! Just joking... what you do need is a Pistorm-32 Lite, they are amazing and by the standards of accelerators not even that expensive. And once you have that do you even need the tower? It is storage, RAM, RTG, all in the size of the A1200 in-case accelerator. I have not yet put a Pistorm in the A600 but I understand they work well there too.

Hi! Your keyboards look great. I've had to replace a couple of membranes so far so that looks like a much better long-term solution.

Yeah, I've got my eye on the Pistorm but I'd still like a towered A1200 though - Just because a big box case with an Amiga logo on it looks fantastic

I personally have not gone down the Vampire/Pi Storm type route but its each to their own as to what gives them their kicks. Looking at your post you are at risk of falling down the rabbit hole we have all been down (and coming out somewhat poorer financially)

Yeah, all my hobbies seem to leave me much worse off... I've mainly been into arcade stuff for last decade or so which severely reduces both my bank balance as well as the space in my house!

Just been looking at those checkmate cases and they look great... I fear this is going to bankrupt me
