Hi everyone. I have been an Amiga user since the late 80s. I bought my first Amiga - an A500 - after doing a paper route for 2 years. I saved every cent, my only exception being a monthly copy of CU Amiga-64. In year 12 at high school I co-created a game called Hairpin, and later Hairpin 2. They were under the label Insane Software. Hairpin 2 was distributed by Deja vu Software. I made lots of other games back then, but nothing else that was released, although Insane Software later released Screech whilst I was living in Europe.

I also acquired an Amiga 1000 and an Amiga 1200 in the 90s. To this day I still have and use all three Amiga computers quite regularly.

Last year I installed my Slimline DVD drive directly inside my Amiga 1200. It fits in perfectly and pops out the back. It is awesome

I probably play the Bard's Tale series and the SSI AD&D games the most.

I was hoping to get a Commodore PET mobile phone, but it seems they did not own Commodore, but I have had UAE running on my mobile phone for years now anyway, ever since I first got a Samsung Galaxy S1. I also have a C64 which still works great, but my kids use that more than me.

I just bought an Inboard 1000 rev. 7 to expand my A1000, but I am having problems finding where to solder the cable.

I loved Bards Tale as a kid....I am sure I spent sooooo many hours playing it on my c64 probably used up a whole year lol

Here are three pics of my Amiga 1200 with internal CD/DVD drive:

I got a slim CD/DVD drive from Vesalia, removed all casing, got a compact 44pin IDE adaptor for it, cut a (fairly) neat hole in the back of the Amiga case to insert CDs - and it fits nice and snuggly inside the case!

So much better than having the IDE cable dangling off to the side, it was getting damaged. So now I have a perfect A1200, complete with internal 80GB HD, and CD!

Do you use a buffered adapter with it? Or straight off the port?
