This is just a quick 'hello' as invited to do so.
I mostly re-acquire things that I either have fond memories of... or I was curious about (or coveting... but couldn't afford) back in the 90s!
In the re-acquire camp, that's mostly PC and Spectrum stuff... and in the curious camp I've started to get into Power Macintosh stuff for a PowerBook G4 1 GHz Ti that I recently acquired (mostly as it was the last Mac laptop that could officially dual boot MacOS 9 and X)
I grew up with a Spectrum 128K as my first machine (still have one), briefly used a SAM Coupé, before then getting a glorious AST Advantage Adventure! 4066d back in 1995 (and I still have one of those too). I'm particularly interested in AST stuff as a while back I got a copy of all the server-side data that ran the AST support site (directly from the company that was still running it) as well as a whole load of recovery CDs for various machines.
I've also recently been getting bits to recreate my second PC which was build by UK company MESH PLC, along with various peripherals that I used back then. I seem to have also acquired the domain that they used to use too, so perhaps I'll start a MESH appreciation site there shortly
Sometimes I'll get "job lots" of things, just to get to a something specific... so that can then then mean I've got spare stuff to sell or give away.
My retro room becomes more complete every year, it's like walking into the 90s with not just computer bits, but also random re-acquired objects from the 90s like Argos catalogues, a Mr. Blobby vinyl record, and an original can of Lynx Africa
So yeah... that's me.
