Retro Computer enthusiast, currently rebuilding my collection of owned computers from over the years.

Starting from the Vic 20, I'm currently at the Pentium one era with lots of obscure systems in between, currently restoring a Tandon Pac 286.

How you getting on with that Tandon 286 Pac, have one of those on my to do pile.

Morning, still some retro brighting to do, battery changed and boards cleaned, boots and I have two out of three 30mb datapacs working. How's yours fairing?

I've done little other than to make sure there was no leaking battery. Mine has both 3.5 and 3.25 inch drives as attachments on top. Although I only have 1 datapac for the two slots.

Did you have any issues getting it working and what OS are you running. Did you end up using any of the Tandon specific software?

Evening Bud, sorry for the slow reply. One Datapac boots to Dos 4.1 and the other boots to Dos 3.3 both have the correct Tandon Software running. I only have a 3.5 drive attachment and that is a bit tatty I don't think its complete, do you have a photo of it? might try and 3d Print the front fascia which I think is missing, finished the retrobriting over the weekend, will get it back together this weekend and upload a photo of it running. Both drives needed the stepper motor lubed, one is still a bit temperamental and spins down 20% of the time. I have some Tm-362 parts which I'm going to try and use to get the third datapac running.
