Occasional visitor to AmiBay finally getting around to registering an account.

Got my first computer, an Acorn Electron when I was 4 years old. I vividly recall throwing it across the room after yet another death in the maddeningly, unfairly difficult game "The Golden Figurine". A few years later I upgraded to the C64, then C128 and never looked back. Never threw them across the room, either. I even had a complete C128D at one point, but sold it in the late 90s which, in retrospect, was a mistake!

My main interest is the Commodore 8-bit line, particularly C64 and C128. I'm currently refurbishing several C64s and enjoy the process of taking an old, yellowed, partially faulty machine and getting it as close to new as possible. I've also got a lot of love for the Amstrad CPC line, as my grandfather was given a CPC-464 as a retirement gift in the mid 80s, and I used to play it a lot when I visited my grandparents.

Never had an Amiga but always wanted one when I was a kid. Got a PC in the mid 90s which took my attention away from Commodore, but I never sold my C128. I'll be a Commodore owner for life, I think.

I won't share my opinions on the Spectrum. ;)
