Hello Amibay community, my name is Alex and am really excited to be a part of this community. I currently a few vintage computers such as a Compaq Portable III, a Macintosh SE, a custom-built 486/Pentium (several motherboards, but only one case :(). I am currently planning on selling a few of my items so that I can build the 486 of my dreams (Gravis Ultrasound, Sound Blaster Pro 2.0, SCSI CD-ROM, MPU-401, etc). I really hope to accomplish this before I graduate High School. I look forward to doing business with you all in the future :).

P.S. As for my favorite games, there is no finer than DOOM. (or a build engine game I plan to release some day.........)

Welcome! Ha, a 17 years in old into vintage computers, that loves Doom and working on a Build game, that's great :)

What's your story, did your dad or someone in your family hook you up or is it something you fell into yourself? Both are fine of course, just curious!

For what it's worth I was 11 when Doom came out...and nothing was the same ever again :D

I actually heard some stories from my dad who used to own an IBM PC and I was fascinated (I have always loved old stuff). And, while my family doesn't have the IBM PC anymore, my grandfather gave me the keyboard, two hayes modems, manuals, expansion cards, hardcards, you name it. He also gave me his 486 computer, which I absolutely love, despite its speed drawbacks.
