I'm one of those weird people who didn't have an Amiga back in the day (I was firmly in the PC camp starting in the 8086/CGA era
), but always really admired it and wished for that quality of games (especially the music!). Now that I'm letting my retro kick go full out, I've been acquiring different systems from the 80, and of course I had to get an Amiga 500. I also ended up getting a souped up Amiga 600 (Furia accelerator, CF hard drive, WHDLoad), but I'm not so sure about it. I think it might be too complex for my tastes, especially for someone who doesn't know his way around the basic Amiga. So I'm currently looking at my 500 and trying to decide what configuration to use for a Gotek drive (almost decided on external with DF0 selector in trapdoor).
I hope to learn a lot about Amigas while I'm here. I already have actually, I just never registered before
PS. Would some kind administrator pretty please with a cherry on top change my username? It's supposed to be llopis like in every other retro board, but for some bizarre reason I typed it as lloopis. I tried contacting the admins to change but nothing, and when I created a new account with the correct username, it got insta-banned
