Sadly, I was born too late to enjoy the Amiga in its heyday. Actually, I only turned 18 last year. I started getting into retro gaming roughly six or so years ago when I got a couple of games for the SNES i had discovered in our basement as a christmas gift. From then on, I collected quite a few different consoles and also got into retro computing. My first and currently only Amiga is an A500.
My fascination with these old machines is honestly less about the games and more about the hardware. I like to know how things look under the hood and understand their limitations. What really attracted me to the Amiga was the incredible demoscene and the computer's very unique hardware.
I may have an odd taste, but I especially love late 80s Amiga demos and music disks, which sadly have a lot of problems on my newer A500 with fat Agnus and Kickstart 1.3. My primary reason for joining this forum is to acquire an earlier Amiga, but also to discuss technical stuff from board revisions to copperlists. I'm still learning the basics of 68000 Assembly, but I've done some programming in 6502 on the C64 before.
