Hello from the Netherlands
I've been around here already, but I thought it would be good to intro my self too.
Started in 1982 when one of my old friends Onno introduced me to his C64.
Was hooked after playing with it a few times, but just couldn't afford one of my own.
He got an Amiga 500 in 1985 right after the introduction, was probably one of the first few to own such a machine in the Netherlands.
A few months after I got my own C64II and continued to play on his A500.
Got my own A500 from an aunt years later, dragged that thing to few computer clubs and expanded my disk collection to over 1200.
In 1994 I gave up the Amiga and started with pc's as I needed one for my education.
Did a few steps from a P75 to P300 and 450 and then went to P4 2.53GHZ and now a Core I7 975 with everyting on it.
Just recently picked up my Amiga's again from the garage and added one A500 to the already existing 2 A500's, 3 A1200's with 2 blizzard iv 1230's @ 50 mhz and 64mb and 1 mtec 030 and yesterday picked up an Amiga 4000/030, alot of euro's invested already, but worth it
The 4000's case isn't in great shape and so was it's battery, but I removed that with the help of a few posts and links.
I think once I have that amiga in a pc tower with atx psu and a few mods, it will be my workstation for all WHDload's and adf's that I need to drop on the A1200's.
Those 3 machines are fitted with CF cards and CC Reset fix and kickstart 3.1
Thanks to Amibay I already picked up a few rare things.
So what do I got in total machines ?
5 Amiga 500's;
- rev 3 (i think) standard with 0.5 MB ram expansion
- rev 5 standard with 0.5 MB ram expansion
- 2 rev 6A kick 2.04 RAM/IDE controller card by Tom Thul
- rev 8A (A500 Plus) 2MB Chip with A530 @ 40Mhz 4MB ram
4 Amiga 1200's in their cases, all fitted with 3.1 kickstarts, 2 with Blizzard 1230 IV 68030@ 50Mhz with 64MB and with CF adapter and 8GB CF, one with Mtec @ 28Mhz 16MB CF adapter and 128MB CF.
2 Amiga boards bare, one 1D4 with kick 3.1 and a 2B with 3.0
The 1D4 will be powered with my Blizzard 1260 and scsi unit, probably an EZ tower or PC tower, but still a project that has to be done.
4 Amiga 4000's 3 in 030 desktop cases and 1 Micronik tower, all kickstart 3.1 and with 16MB, 2 of them with CF adapter and 8GB CF, one with Classic Workbench 3.1 and the other with OS3.9.
The Micronik also runs 3.9 but when the Cyberstorm PPC 060/200 arrives (will take some time) this will run OS4/Warp OS.
It will also have a CyberVision PPC card added (already here)
One A4000D was battered so hard and the front plate had a lot of scratches that I took this up for a paint conversion to a "black edition".
Still a work in progress, but coming together nicely with a black floppy drive, black mouse, and if it can be done a brand new CDTV keyboard.
So I have my work layed out for the next few months.
Also installing software, getting WHDload registered and having all machines in working order the way I want them.
Yeah, I'm sure some more Amiga's will join me after that.
Would like to have a few 600's and 2000's and of course the A4000T by Escom, if they can be found here in the Netherlands.
But like I said, already have had few fun transactions here,
especially the RAM//IDE boards and Zorro adapters by Tom Thul.
But it costs a lot of money, I found that out the hard way and it won't get any easier I guess, but I will keep going and I'm glad I never sold any of my machines earlier

I started with archive-boxes to keep it clean.
