Hi everyone,
I'm from the Ruhr area, West Germany, and I've been enthusiastic about retro computing all my life. At 36 I'm not really your typical age bracket for an Amiga enthusiast, but my first memories of ever using a computer were indeed on my dad's A1000. Later came the DOS days, and in the late 90s, while still in primary school, I was allowed to "build" (with a little help) my own little 486 - well outdated, running WfW 3.11 when my dad had a Pentium III with 3Dfx Voodoo and Windows 98.
Around the year 2000, long after the old A1000 had been sold, my dad was offered to purchase a friend's dad's A500, and I enthusiastically supported this.
That little device is still with me, and after years in storage, I finally kitted the little Amiga out this year. I'm still tweaking things, and that's how I ended up on Amibay, finally.
