Hi fellow retro addicts,

As my partner won't allow me to have a really fast car, or a motorbike for a midlife crisis - I've decided I need to update my collection of retro computer bits and pieces. I'm primarily interested in the 486 - Pentium 3 era as that's where my own computer ownership first dates back to.
I currently have a man cupboard full of components, and a select few full systems, from UK oems that most probably won't know unless they are from here! Tiny and Time are two such machines, along with a couple of RM Nimbus machines.
Look forward to conversing with you all!
Thanks

Welcome to :check:AmiBay!

My first PC was a 486DX4 back in 1994. Bought after realizing my beloved Amiga had no future.

Welcome to Amibay!

Bought my first "ibm compatible pc" with sh*t expensive 8MB RAM in early 1994 after exploring a nice new game called "doom" by coincidence.

My first personally owned computer was a Compaq Prolinea 4/33 with a dx4 100 odp fitted. It had windows 3.1 at the time and I really wish I'd kept it now!

It was common practice to sell your old computer to move to new hardware! I also sold my beautiful 486 custom build to buy a Pentium MMX machine. Thankfully I didn't sell my original Amiga 500 which I still own today :)

Welcome, if you want to sell an RM Nimbus im looking for a PC-186 model, thanks :-)
