I've been a fan of the Amiga ever since I was exposed to computers. My father purchased an IBM PC when first introduced and I ended up with a PCjr. The PCjr led to programming which helped point me to a career in software development.

I loved trips to the computer store (remember those?) where I could see the latest and greatest.. More often than not, those were Amigas. There were Macs there but the Amigas were doing the most amazing things. :)

So far, I have had three A500s but I'm down to one with a nice display, mouse and external floppy drive. While I'm a complete newbie, I do know I'll be looking for a HDD solution soon (maybe an A1200?).

Thanks for keeping the Amiga interests alive!

Welcome, I too got on the train each weekend to the city to play in the arcades (I put most of my cash into Hard Drivin machine) and looked what new stuff was out (C64 for me at the time then Amiga),

Hi Brian, yeah, get an Amiga A1200!!

Welcome to the 'bay!

You can't go wrong with an A1200. Whack in a hard disk and a basic trapdoor expansion and you're laughing! Great little machines, the A1200s.
