Hello everyone, I have introduced myself once! Just wanted to send another introduction out. As this is only my second time on Amibay!
So far it is an Amazing bunch. As I am a right sided brain, the level of concisousness I have tells me that people with real heart and love for the hobby do exist here, more than any place online.
Right not I have an Amiga A4000/40 with a 030 processor board. Two Meg chip ram and 16 meg Fast Ram...
Seeking some advice and upgrades. Luckily just found an Ethernet card from a local Amiga Guru.. Though I am new here my computer wisdom spans over 25 years. Right now Amiga is a newer challenge to me. As I was an original A500 owner in the day. Now for one year I have been back into the hobby. My goals are to stay original. Not seeking to go past an O60. Not interested in PPC. Only the highest level of original Amiga hardware and software I can obtain.
Currently, with my years of experience in programming, hardware repair, it's not all that easy. Even with a solid year of Amiga on my back now.
It occured to me that I have never installed AmigaOS3.9, with Boing Bag 1&2. It's been impossible for me to do. With a month of back and forth !
Loaded right now with Classic Wb ADVSP! That seems to work great! Can anyone tell me the advantages of 3.9? Why I should install it? Or is Classic Wb ADVSP fine. Since I own Original paid for item only! Whdload key paid for, Amiga Forever two versions paid for. This is important to help keep the hobby alive. Tried using the 3X version of Amiga on my computer. It works well. But I am not sure if that is a turbo version of 3.9? Should I stick with that?
Excuse me if I make another posting asking this. Below is a photo of my Amiga just taken now. Wanted to introduce myself. Show my goals are to expand my system to the top of what a vintage Amiga can be for historical purposes. Maybe one day when I get bored I may goto PPC. But historical preservation is my main goal. Original stuff is the most fun. Thanks and hello all, seeking new friends most importantly.
