Hi all,

I'm a lapsed Amigan from the UK. Back in the day, I had an Atari 500 and subsequently A1200, which ended up in a Power Tower with 68030 accelerator + HD. Good times.

I still have my backed up HD from back then which I run in various emulators or on a MISTer, but do fancy getting some proper Amiga hardware again. And so I am here!

Welcome to Amibay! :check:

@Mewcenary - Is another towerized 1200 in your future?

Also...what is the best way to backup your Amiga partition as you've done?

Yes, I tried this exactly as in the video below and it didn't work. I got a command error, perhaps due to OS version? I'm on 10.12 here so that I can keep my local CS running.

I've never used a Mac so I'm not sure.. I've never had a problem doing this on Linux though. Do you have a Raspberry Pi you could try it on?

I did the original backup about 25 years ago (!)

At the time, I think it was using some tooling that came with Amiga Forever which allowed a parallel port connection to the Amiga and it then slurped the files across. Nowadays I suspect there are much easier options!
