Hi all,

I'm a long-time on-again and off-again lurker around these parts who's finally ready to take the plunge and join up to at least be able to post here and there.

I was weaned on DOS PC's in the early 90's. Then I started reading about the classic 8-bit systems and fell in love with C= :) Got a C64, played with that for several years (I like hardware and configurations and using much more than programming, so I never went in-depth with that)... graduated to Amiga's, which I used for a bit (A500/A2000, later A1200)... then got out of vintage PC's for about a decade, until last year.

I've gotten back in with a passion.. I'm looking to experience the Atari ST, having just picked up a 520 and 1040STF, the CoCo3, and of course, get back into my Amiga and DOS PC's (now complete with Roland midi - woohoo!)

When not in use, my systems tend to go in the closet - that's where my C= systems have been for years. Thankfully, everything still works great.

At this point, I'm hoping to complete the "dream project" from some years back and towerize one of my Miggy's (unsure whether I want to do the A500/2000/1200). From there, I'll decide how modern I want to make it, whether I want to set it up for everyday usage with an 060, USB, and Mediator-PCI, or just keep it retro-but-capable.

We'll see :) - As an aside, that Commodore Gaming Case looks AWESOME. It's too bad that shipping to the US is so prohibitive! - more incentive for me to pull out the dremel, I guess!

Note: obviously I have no trading references here. Most of my "trading references" are fledgling as I've only recently started going to the forums. I used to trade in the newsgroups back in the day, and I've been on eBay for over 12 years with perfect feedback. I have fledgling references at atariage, and I've had trades with a half dozen members of the vintage-computer forums.

Welcome to Amibay. :)
Just a word of caution though, our rules are a little different to other forums when it comes to trading.
Please spend a little time making yourself familiar with them HERE. :coffee:

Done and done.... I appreciate the links, and the welcome.

Looking forward to getting back into the Amiga after all these years... the new homebrew hardware looks impressive! - especially those that will let me unload my old GVP sidecar for the A500 in trade for an internal CF!

Aye aye matey! Another new member like myself!

Hopefully, one day the kids will go into their college computer room and sit at their Amigas instead of those IBM Pretend Computers

Yarr!
