It is nice to know there is still an active Amiga community around in the world. I brought my first commodore 64 back in the 1980s and my first Amiga was the A500 when they first came out in 1987. Later on I finally upgraded to the A1200 and was pretty happy with it until Commodore went out of business and slowly it was no longer possible to buy Amiga software or hardware. Since I'm in the information technology profession and used intel xx86 based pcs I moved on from the Amiga to xx86 and started building my own intel based PCs. The final straw that broke the camel's back was when my Amiga 1084 monitor died and I was forced to connect the amiga through my A520 to my TV. It was finally packed up in the original box and shelved and has been sitting in my storage for the last 15 years or so.

I currently own a custom built PC with an overclocked water cooled CPU and water-cooled Gforce RTX 2080 Ti and I have plenty of other computers lying around.

However recently after going through my boxes from storage I saw my Amiga box and decided to hook them up again. But now I own nothing the Amiga can connect to without legible text so here I am.

I have a degree Computer/Electrical Engineering and spent some years as a electronics repair technician so I am pretty tech savvy. I looked up all the options to connect my Amiga 1200 to my Asus ROG swift monitors with Gsync and while I can manage doing the SVideo mod, or the RGB Amiga 500 Raspberry Pi mod, I just don't have the time. I decided getting an OSSC is probably the best solution for me considering I also own a c64, c128, PS2, PS3, A500, A1200 and even an old Atari 2600. Hopefully I'll get what I need here and maybe look around to see what other things are available.
