Got the bug in the '64.
Over the years I have often been involved in designing, populating and interogating large ad hoc databases and in the early days the programming as well - using the machines clients had or whatever I could afford. It was mainframes in the 60's moving onto Z80 and 6502 based machines in the 70s and Intel based PCs in the 80s - Which is where I still am.
Happily no longer building databases but just 'mucking about' - tailor-making PCs and doing software installs for family and friends together with the inevitable upgrades / repairs and software up-dates and virus removal.
Anyway, since retiring I have been trying to undo the magpie habits of a lifetime and dispose of all the things that I will probably never get back into. I'm now going through the computing kit which is why I'm here at AmiBay.
And the only thing I'm collecting is brownie points for de-cluttering! And if I'm wrong about what I dispose of? - I guess I'll just have to blow the points and start again!
