Hi

Just joined Amibay. I am into retro games having a large Nintendo NES collection (over 300 games etc) along with various other consoles.

I have had various Amigas in the past including Amiga 500, 600HD and 1200. I sold all of these computers which I regret but recently have got interested in purchasing another Amiga after seeing a few youtube videos on the latest workbench/ size of hard drives/compact flash etc.

I dont really want to purchase an Amiga on Ebay and ideally I could purchase of someone on Amibay. There are are three Amiga's that Im really interested in;

  • Amiga CDTV with keyboard, disk drive, etc ( this is the one that I wanted when I was younger but was expensive at the time, I opted for the Amiga 1200 instead) but this is possibly the coolest looking Amiga. I am looking to add a hard drive/ compact flash to this and extra RAM so hopefully will get this here and tips on how to achieve this from forum members.
  • Amiga 4000 - again couldnt afford this when I was younger want one of these!
  • Amiga 1200 - this is what I used to own and I suspect this is what I will start with and aquire on this forum being the more numerous of the models.
I think this forum is great and hopefully will get to meet a lot of local Amibayers!:thumbsup:

Hi there limboy777 and welcome to the forum.

There are often some great bargains to be had on this site for many different formats like the Amiga etc, but I would also look at ebay for the odd bargain too as there are often some untidy looking specimens going cheap plus decent casings are fairly common as well both here and on ebay :thumbsup:

Hi thanks for your welcome. Already declared interest on CDTV so this site has already helped.
