Did I read here correctly that this adapter won't work with mouse/ joystick switchers? Like this one:

Just conscious that hot-plugging isn't recommended with this adapter and if you need to unplug the mouse to play a 2 player game, you'd need to boot with the normal mouse in place, then swap that out as normal.

Just a minor inconvenience, but wanted to check that was correct.

Most switchers use buffered logic, so they cut the direct wire from hid2ami and Amiga DB port and place a mono directional logic port between them.
Since the proprietary mousewheel protocol needs 2-way communication, it can't work in such a condition.
Other mouse functionalities will work as usual.

Should you find an unbuffered switcher, it could allow the whole stuff to work (to be tested anyway)

Anyway, I never said hot-plugging my adapter isn't recommended !
You can safely plug - unplug- replug again at any time , no matter if Amiga is powered or not !
(the above applies to both unplugging a peripheral from hid2ami, and unplugging hid2ami itself from Amiga)

Ahh, many thanks - I must have been thinking about something else. I didn't want to run the risk of frying the adapter, just in case.

So it's just the mousewheel on buffered adapters that won't work, but unbuffered adapters might work OK?

I'll keep that in mind

Regards to the case, I'm sorry but also I only have a cheap printer, and can't print good items.
I suggest you to get printed things from reliable pcb makers (e.g. pcbway, jlcpcb, elecrow, etc) which also offer 3D printing service at reasonable prices. STL files are on my github free for all.
