Made by HiSoft, this is an external mpeg decoder to enable playing VideoCD’s using a SCSI CD-ROM drive. This is also known as the Squirrel MPEG. Some information can be found here: http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/smd100
It is lightly focused towards the Amiga (it can be included in the SCSI chain), but no software was released as far as I know. It however does include a built in Genlock function, it can mix Amiga signals with the video stream, controlled via the remote control.It comes complete, in box and excellent condition and has all accessories: manual (including all pin out assignments), a videoCD, remote control and power supply. Boxed, apart from a tear and scratch the box is in pretty good condition.
Fixed price is 150 euro excluding shipping.The pictured AWAI CD-ROM drive is NOT included, merely used to show it working!!
