Hi All,

I noticed the other day when I had my Amiga 4000 case off, that the resistor packs (RP602, 604, 606, 607) on the A4000 daughter board (rev b) get quite hot, enough that I can't touch them for long.
There are no expansion boards plugged in.

Is this normal or if not, should I look into replacing all of the resistor packs & caps on the daughter board?
For ref, I have recapped the A4000 motherboard with all new polymer caps, but I don't think that should make a difference?

Many thanks,

James.

AFAIK these are pull-up resistors which means they are always tied to 5V and they do dissipate power continously.
If they are around 60°C it is quite normal.

Ah that's good to know. I was starting to think I had a short or fault somewhere.
So completely normal for them to heat up quite a bit then.

Cheers!
