How many amps does a relatively modern floppy drive like Samsung SFD321 or Panasonic JU-606, that have only 5V rail draw?

I have a variable voltage PSU that'll operate an old datacorder at 12V but doesn't power up a 3,5" LCD display at same voltage. Would it be enough for the floppy drive? I could then dedicate this PSU for the floppy drive and use my other sturdier variable voltage PSU for powering up the LCD.

I would say somewhere in the 300-400mA region

Ok, then the PSU I have, should be enough. Thanks!

The SVI-767 datacorder seems to draw only 200 mA, so no wonder it works. Maybe I'll invest 16 € for another wall wart.
