I'm getting back into the Amiga realm again, after many years of absence. I originally owned an A1000 and A500 back in the 80's, and recently acquired an A2000 that I'm building up (never owned this particular model back then).
The hardware I've acquired to this point is a GVP accelerator card, lots of RAM, a GVP EGA 28/24 Spectrum video card (for hi-resolution and using a flat-panel VGA LCD), SCSI CD-Rom drive, and a 2Gb SCSI hard drive. Rounding it out will be Kickstart 3.1 ROM and WB 3.1 (just waiting on a ROM switcher to become available). The A2000 came with a Video Toaster, and I can run it as well as the GVP Spectrum card (since the Spectrum doesn't occupy the video slot). I also have a Gotek floppy emulator due to arrive soon, which I will run as a second floppy in the case.
I'm in the process of replacing the leaky motherboard battery with a replacement coin-type, which I'm still awaiting. Fortunately there wasn't much corrosion damage!
So, I'm looking forward to the nostalgia and perhaps programming some things for the Amiga! I think I'm off to a good start, hardware-wise. My next upgrade may be from a revision 6 to a revision 6.2 motherboard, but not sure if there's much gain (perhaps I'll find more info here on the forum).
