After years of always extending deadlines, bugs, questionable hardware support, and shrinking userbase... It's best to just let it die.
Maybe we'll get a source code release. Maybe A-EON will buy it. It doesn't matter much, in the end. I'm not so sure what enjoyment people got out of the OS4 saga over the years was proportional to all the man hours and money poured in.
hopefully someone with more "vision" will buy the rights, maybe someone that will heed the "it is better to sell 10,000 units for £10.00 each rather than 100 units for £100 each. maybe enough vision to allow an x86 version, dual boot anyone?
What a great shame. I admire any company brave enough to produce low volume software/hardware in a very small niche market. Takes massive guts and work i am sure, so to see one go is a great shame I feel if indeed this is true
