HyperSpin Vs Coin Ups?

bigbox via launchbox for pc ( seems ok not fully configured it yet )

bigbox is a paid front end controller friendly ( think of it like steam big picture mode ) for the free launchbox.

there is also batocera ( No OS req ) self contained boot on x86 PC, very fast

so now its a choice of 4 or more ;)

Batocera looks very interesting from here. I have an old Shuttle XPC with an Intel i7 975 Black Edition 3.33Ghz and 16GB RAM inside just sitting on the shelf, so might do some experimenting with it and see how far I can take it emulation wise.

Thanks for the heads-up Sardine

I have heard the Launch Box is better than the rest but never heard of Batrocera thought!

These days I've mainly switched completely to RetroArch with the Emulation Station frontend on most systems. And EmuElec on some Linux based ones.

the benefit of Batocera over the likes of RetroArch is you dont run it over an OS.

Batocera boots natively so its very fast even on older hardware, it also supports hardware GPU options the likes of rotated displays that maintain smooth vsync scrolling.

try scramble or the likes on other emulation setups with a rotated 90deg display ( the raspberry pi falls over on this and switched to cpu only scrolling if you rotate the display )

I got coin ups hard drive that arrived and had go on it......Brilliant :)

you didn't buy coinops from eBay did you,, it's a free to download setup ( add your own roms ) community supported.

I know it's questionable in the legality of coinops . Batocera , retropie or the likes but it should NEVER be paid for only direct support to the developers who create the magic apps that let you play for example PS2 or the latest arcade beat em up on your pc.

Yes, I bought it from ebay as I dont have time to added all the roms and so on. It was good job that it selling cheap.

Resident evil Deadly Slience? I love the game and it got subtitles to tell the story to know what talking about :)

RE deadly silence is just a NDS remake of the original RE. Only worth playing on the original DS due to its touch control.

I've just downloaded and installed Coinops Next 2 and added tonnes of add on packs. Amiga on was 22gb! Its looks really pretty and cool but I take it most of the data is for video previews and artwork.
I've added lots and I think my build is approx 500gb or even more.
