This is one for the IBM collector. Original IBM AT with the original EGA monitor offered by IBM before they started selling the 5154 EGA monitor. All working perfectly.
Consists of:
- IBM 5170 Type 2 motherboard with 512K RAM and 128k RAM expansion. New BIOS chip (makes using modern harddrives easier) and crystal changed to 8 MHz. Can be downgraded again if required, comes with original parts. 80287 maths coprocessor! Comes with both 1.2Mb and 360K floppy drives, original IBM and very rare configuration. Machine in as new condition. Really remarkable.
- modern IDE harddrive solution with 128Mb CF card as harddrive. The old original 20Mb Seagate harddrive is included and was working when taken out.
- multi function I/O card with plenty of ports
- EGA card with 128Kb of RAM. Can check exact model if required.
- Etherlink III network card and mTCP tools installed so machine can get on the internet with a single command.
- IBM model M keyboard. Great condition. German layout.
- Grundig BGC36 EGA colour monitor. Works fine but has a few scratches. Excellent image and also has a SCART connector and green screen mode. Better image quality than the 5154!
- Kensington track ball. Works fine with mouse.com
- I can add a few floppies (both HD and DD) no problem.
Overall very nice machine that can be put back in original condition if wanted. Everything working perfectly and in great condition. A fair bit of useful software installed, including tools, utils, games and GEOS, one of the first real GUIs. Has DOS 3.2 German on it at the moment but easy enough to get software on it through Laplink or LAN.
Any more question, ask.
Due to size / fragility, collection only from Galway Ireland. Unfortunately I'm not able to travel or lift anything heavier than a tank mouse at the moment so can't send by post or meet somewhere else. Sorry.
Any more question, please post below.
Also advertised elsewhere.
Price: 850 Euro
