sure steve.

if you send the 10 pin idc parts as well i'll make them too, just tell me how long/short you want them mate.

youll need a 26 pin header a 50pin header and two 10 pin headers,i think ive got some idc cable the right pitch.

`Saint Roy` I like the sound of that !, your right steve he is a top bloke done a great favour for me and much appreciated

 shucks guys...

steve could you send the scsi cable off the blizzard as well mate,i wont take it apart its just for reference.

Hi Roy!

Yeah sure I will send the Blizzard SCSI cable. I think I have one of the parallel port cables which was linked here too which should be good for cannibalisation and of course 50pin SCSI cables.

I already bought a couple of the 330mm 10pin IDC cables linked so no need to make that one up Roy :)

For the SCSI cable I will measure out and let you know how long I need it, it will be a simple 2way cable, 26pin IDC one end and 50pin SCSI the other, the device I'm using has termination.

Thanks again for the offer if help, I'll PM you a little later. I should be able to post the bits today.

If there's any little bits you need for your projects give me a shout as I can send up to 1kg for £3 with RM 1st Class

no probs steve,i was going to ask about termination but you have that covered.

Hey I just found 2 longer 10pin cables in my box of bits :D

I also have a the spare cable with the 26pin IDC connector so I'm all set

nice one:D

you may as well use them up steve.
Hi Roy!

I sent you the cables, the SCSI cable has at least 3 50 pin IDC connectors in case you have any trouble.

The SCSI cable 26-25 in the packet is the one that belongs with my Blizzard for reference only. The other one you can hack up till your heart is content!

I really appreciate this mate, big thumbs up

your cables have turned up steve, damn that was fast.:o

i'll send you a pm i need to ask you a question.;)

Thanks Roy!

Sorry for the confusion

By the way, just to report for the thread the longer cable I found for the IDEFix Express works a treat, annoyingly though with the express adapter in place I can't close the case, I'm assuming the CDROM or JAE adapter make contact with it (insulated of course)

I'm considering dropping the express adapter and just running the DVD from IDE and my main OS from SCSI once Roy has worked his Magic

here you go steve, these are the cables.
steve asked me to post the pictures here, enjoy.

this one is the original blizzy cable repaired.

this is the custom blizzy cable, the black mark is pin 1 and ive put a tab on the back so you dont have to tug on the cable mate.:)

this picture is just to show how to bend the cable so as pin 1 lands on the other side :)

Thanks Roy and thanks for sharing the pics, along with the pin out's you linked it should really help fellow Amibayer's who want/need a similar solution

Roy even extended his kindness by repairing a faulty Blizzy SCSI cable I sent just for pin out reference!

I am very interested in knowing, did you managed to remove the d-sub connector without breaking it? I have a pair of these blizzard scsi leads and the ribbon is damaged on both! I have new ribbon cable ready to go on, bearing on if I can get the plug apart. I can remove idc plugs no problem but these d-subs look a bit fiddly...

they are easy to remove for me anyway,if you cant or dont want to ill do it for you.
and no,i didnt break anything replacing the cable ask steve.
it takes minutes to fix one of these.

by the way mate, they are idc connectors even the d sub on these.

@ Roy What clamping device do you use to sandwich the ribbon cable between the two brackets ?

an idc crimping tool.

if i cant find that i use a vice or a speed clamp(g clamp with pads with a trigger)
