Hi Amibayers!

Today I'm selling an extremely rare item.

The IEEE-488 interface for C64 by REX DATENTECHNIK.

This device is required for connecting C64 to: SFD 1001, and all the PET series drives and printers from the early Commodore era (4040, 8050, etc.), with transfer speeds of up to 1 MB/s.

Device has it's own kernel (rom chip in the cartridge), and a cable for connecting 2 IEEE-488 devices in parallel. Device was intended for developer's, and only a few are known to exist.

Tested, working and in excellent condition considering it's age.

User manual provided is in German. (It looks like a photocopy, but I think that's the actual manual provided with the device.

HANDHELD64 in the picture is not included. :)

Asking price is 40€ (was 100€) + Postage. (10,35€ for most of the EU.)

It's collecting dust here, so It's better for it to go to someone who will actually use it, or even better someone who can reverse engineer it.

Internally it contains MC68A21 Interface Adapter, 4K eprom, 2 74xx series digital chips and a few passive components. Price can be negotiated to the extreme for an Amibayer who can commit on reverse engineering it and release it to the public domain.

BR,
E.
