It is an amalgam filling, so has a small % of mercury but as of 2008/09 yup still get them.

oh I see....NOT banning them at least seems strange, as one should not go around with a black nasty filling in this day of age. when I had my first( and only) amalgam, they switched to glass/porcelain, plastic and some compositethingy right after.
Only seen white ones since.
Btw: you all know that cold electric feeling when putting something metal in your mouth? - That's what I am getting from that one...all day. Going to have it replaced before christmas.
One thing though, is that it holds up for maany years.
