Britain First is the name of the far right "group" in Britain that wants to leave Europe

Although he is a looney regardless of his political views, I mean, who stabs and kills someone in the street like
that?

Its a nightmare that it has got to this, the IRA used the same tactic to get what they wanted and it worked. Please God let us not see a return to those dark times and may this inocent womans death be the beginning of our countries Rulers waking up and listening to the people instead of the Rich Corps and their own warped ideals.

He shouted "Britain first"... how can that not be related?

So, some looney shouting Britain first is a motive is it? I just said it 3 three times in my head, and I don't want to kill anyone!
Like I said, wait and see what the investigation comes up with.

EDIT:

There is some breaking news on the BBC website, he does indeed sound like a complete nutter!

the problem with these cases is we never know the truth but in this case it really does not matter, No one has the right to Kill in civil society.

Your right, the truth rarely comes out in these cases. He just seems a right wing extremist and a low life out to make a name for himself. Now her 2 kids have to live without a mother, it's sickening.

The thing is, him doing this is likely to have a counter active outcome than the one he wanted, he wants out and is a murderer, are people going to support him and vote out? Doubt it?

If someone shouts "Britain first" while killing a pro-eu politician there is obviously a political motive... so yes I think there is a clear relation between his actions and the brexit referendum.

He is indeed a complete nutter, that did a horrible thing...

You keep thinking that if it brings you comfort, I'll wait and see what comes of it. Don't believe everything you read/hear/see in the media, they are just sensationalists that get it wrong most of the time.
Don't forget, to begin with it was blamed on a connection to ISIS, just more sensationalism and speculation!

True... the only fact that the media can't get wrong is that a pro-EU British MP was murdered.

Unfortunately there has and always will be some idiot with a chip on there shoulder about something. Jo Cox isn't the first politician to be attacked/murdered and it's sad to think she probably won't be the last! It really belies any understanding of what is going through there tiny minds, do they really think they are going to change the world by going off like this? They are the sort of people that make dictators!

Anybody who kills someone else because they disagree with their beliefs is disgusting. These psychos do not represent real people with genuine views and opinions and are the most selfish and evil that it's possible to be as a human being. However, what is just as disgusting is when opportunists try to take the opportunity to score political points from such a tragedy. Be it by blaming an entire religion because some nut job kills 49 gay people in Orlando or trying to tarnish anyone with more right leaning views because another nut job kills a left leaning MP. When emotions are running high we can all make irrational decisions. Sometimes we need to take a step back from all the MSM clickbait and wait for the actual truth to come out (if it ever does).

Stephen Timms was the last MP to be attacked in 2010 by Roshonara Choudhry who was an religious extremist with her motivation being retaliation for the Iraq war. Luckily he survived.

i'm pretty sure the murder of Joe Cox was an inside job. Because of that:

The thing is, him doing this is likely to have a counter active outcome than the one he wanted, he wants out and is a murderer, are people going to support him and vote out? Doubt it?

Thats the way politics work. We as the "little man" - as the elite refers to us - dont have any influence on whats happening and what not. They do as they like and kill people for that.

I must admit I'm having a rethink for Brexit. I shouldn't be basing my decision on the narrowness of my profession. And in the view of the wider economy I think there is likely greater safety and stability in staying in.

Nevertheless I am very wary of the UK becoming too close to Germany - which has the most appalling and cruel history of the past 80 years.

My impression is that the younger vote is for in and the older vote will be for out.

Nope just like every empire in europe it was by war and blood did the world get better no just smaller and more diverse

... and the British empire came into existence by love and peace?

Please try not to be facetious, I was mainly referring to the holocaust

I'm not trying to... I'm serious. My point is that every country has its past, people living today are not responsible for what happened back then. We should stand united in Europe, holding old grudges will not get us anywhere imo.

I think there are different ideas of standing united. Many (although every side has its nutters) of the Leave supporters are pro immigration, and are all for standing together with our European neighbours. The problem is that the current (and future) construct looks more like living in the same house, sharing all the bills, sharing all the food (which is bought my majority decision), watching the same TV programmes (again by majority decision) etc....
