Well I am a little bit confused, I have ordered and received Indivision ECS v2 for my 2000. However I don't see where should I connect Denise chip once I install Indivision ECS. In manual I can see that the Denise chip plugs on top of Indivision ECS, but on top there are solder joints already as you can see in the photo. What am I missing here?

Thanks

Those solder joints should actually be pins that plug into the Denise socket on the mainboard.

If there are no pins then you have a faulty unit and should be returned and replaced by the vendor.

Additional - added the video, interesting part starts at 1m 18s

Thanks for the quick answer.

As you can see in the closeup photo there is solder and every pin and in no way Denise can plug in there. I will send an email to icomp.de.

@telonio

You have to GENTLY remove the Denise chip from the A2000 mainboard. Then plug that chip into the socket on the ECS V2 board. Then the complete thing should then plug into the Denise socket on the A2000 mainboard.

View the video I posted above as it gives you more clarity as to the steps required.

Your first post shows a picture of the ECS board, that is the bit that plugs into the Denise socket. On the other side is an empty socket, that is where you plug the Denise chip that you previously removed.

Well, I removed Denise and I installed Indivision ECS in the socket and left Denise on the desk, ECS produces excellent image. As Paradroid90 posted in the video, Indivision replaces Denise chip, there is no need of Denise anymore on the system.

Here it is without Denise chip installed.

If the V2 does not need the Denise chip anymore (wasn't aware of this but I sit corrected if this is now the case), carefully put the Denise chip into storage. Close up the A2000 and enjoy :)

Excellent image, but horrible ghosting on most monitors...
