I should note that I did see this listing like 4 minutes after posting. However, since the listing stated that it was MK2cr, I did not declare interest when there was no interest because I assumed it was for the vastly more popular and common 1200 version. The lack of clarity on initial listing means I didn't declare because it would have been impossible to know what was actually on offer as the seller was not clear until 10 minutes before I declared interest correctly on the specific correct item. I checked icomp site as I saw this to see MK2cr details and what I saw on that page indicated there was no MK2cr for 4000D.

As such, it would be impossible for someone to claim that they declare interest in MK2cr for 4000 first in my view until that was noted in the offering. Therefore, only after seller clarification that there was a 4000D/CD32 model on offer here was it clear that it was on offer.

Additionally lack of pictures in initial listing means that we only knew that a 4000D was on offer once it was edited and clarified and I was first one to declare interest in that specifically. Just FYI in case we're getting into the details.

P.S. Regarding details I checked on icomp. I also believe that the MK2cr was only offered for the 1200, not the 4000D/CD32. It says on the page and I cannot find a picture of it. Hence, another thing that lead me to believe initially these were for 1200, as they were (and remain) tagged here as MK2cr.

From icomp page that I checked when I saw the listing:

>>>
Indivision AGA MK2 features a faster FPGA, faster memory, more flexible pixel clocks and most importantly: DVI-I output. In addition to that, the shape of the A1200 version was changed in order to also fit inside the A4000T. A special version for A4000D and CD32 was manufactured in very low quantity.

The current version is called Indivision AGA MK2cr. It is currently only available for A1200 computers.

If you click on the picture on above page that says "MK2cr for A4000D/CD32" you can see the board is not tagged MK2cr like all MK2cr boards are.

Combination of this detail of MK2cr in the listing and the fact that icomp was stating and showing no MK2cr for 4000D existed prevented me from declaring interest when the listing was stating MK2cr without specifying that there is one 4000D version on offer. I didn't declare because it would have been a false declaration at that point to claim 4000D in my view. However, I can take this as a learning experience and.... Declare, declare, declare! ...and clarify after I know what I declared for. :-)

@Timtheloon, understood.

However, when the title says MK2cr, which is only available for the 1200, and initial listing did not specify or differentiate that it was two different units, simply MK2cr, how can a blind declaration to a listing that is not sufficiently specific be valid and honoured for such a vastly different item from initial listing?

This is not @damiraga's fault nor mine but a fault of the listing being clearly not specific enough on the front end and I have seen repeatedly declarations on such listings noted as not valid.

I specifically did not declare because in my view from what I saw on icomp site (noted in links) when there were no declarations, MK2cr is not a 4000D model designation stamp. Nor was there differentiation in the initial listings that these MK2crs were VERY different application and specific models. That initial listing clearly read as two of the same model MK2cr. Every image of the 4000D/CD32 version the board is never stamped MK2cr, like the 1200 version is. Again...since we're getting into the details.

EDIT: Yup, a few listings just recently for invalid details of the listing and in each case MODs note that such incomplete listings invalidate declarations of interest until the listing is complete. This was clearly an incomplete initial listing, and until it was clarified the declaration would be invalid if such compliance on listing rules is applied. OK, that's my 2 cents. I can't imagine how Picard felt answering for crimes of humanity in front of Q!

Yes it is the sellers fault and if I'm honest this is my first experience of a seller changing the listing and it affecting the declaration order

That much so, that I reported the thread after my error and asked for the other MOD opinions.

Usually it is the buying member who does not declare interest correctly, will get there interest Voided but in this instance @damiraga was unaware of the different types until asked and then your interest comes into play.

This is the fairest option in my opinion other than scrapping the thread completely.

@Timtheloon, so back to my point. How can one declare interest if he doesn't know what they are declaring interest to? As noted, I didn't declare interest because to me clearly the listing read as two MK2crs - which are 1200 only.

How can a listing be valid to declarations when it is so obviously incomplete and for a completely different item. I note again, MK2cr does not exist for 4000. There is no MK2cr stamped Indivisions 4000D/CD32 boards as far as I looked and the website noted likewise.

The current version is called Indivision AGA MK2cr. It is currently only available for A1200 computers.

Every other such case, declarations are null/void until incompleteness of listing is addressed by the seller publicly for all to see. Only then can rules of the forum be followed in declaring. That's what I always saw applied as a rule here. And which is why I feel I validly declared first only when the seller corrected FOR ALL to see, what was actually being offered for sale.

Also, I even think the payment method was edited in and added with the clarification of models. Quite sure, FYI.

To be completely honest with everybody here and fair at the same.

I placed the sale thread from my mobile phone. I needed few minutes to be correct that's why I re edited and this mess caused. (also from me i suppose)

I wish i had more to give to everybody.

So i apologize for this mess. THE luck/future and completion of the thread is decided from the @MODS now on.

The interest queue has been set to this now, and we can continue from there.
