Install Disk? HDD on A600

Hi all,

Just got my first Amiga A600 and Wizzard_o on here has kindly given me an A1200 drive to go in it. Have it all fitted but apparently need an "install" disk?

Does the 2.05 disk set have one of these or was it only the A600HD that shipped with it?

Can you still buy these and are they steep?

there are install disks for both systems.

it will depend what kickstart and os you want to run on both.

yes you can get full sets of workbench disks on here from time to time.
and yes,2.05 did have an install disk.

ah well looks like that's the only disk i am missing typically. Just looked on ebay and people are asking 15 just for the one disk....ouch!

think i will post up on the wanteds after pay day then .

Have you checked your kickstart version? Some 600's can't see the harddrive unless you upgrade..

The hd install disks were only shipped with models that had a hdd.

You can install workbench manually, just copy all the files from all, 3 disks to a bootable partition.

Or just download an adf and write a backup to floppy.
