This whole spying thing just goes to far, I remember seeing an interview with one of the guys that invented the net, him saying that with all the spying/data collection that goes on and getting out of hand, the only way forward to control the companies would be to make them pay ££ everyone for every piece of information they use from you ;)

Totally agree with you  1984/Brave new world? eat your heart out.

Smart TVs are rubbish anyway. I don't want to wait for some half baked linux distro to boot just so I can watch telly.

And all the "features" are naff. I've got a perfectly good computer I can browse the internet on, and if I do, it won't block my view of the telly! Bow down before my fabulous secret powers.

We'll mine had a update yesterday, not looked at what it was for,I got my tv for the 3D really.
What I would be more worried about is tv's with cameras on them! You never know if it can send data who's to say I can't take a sly picture......hehehe

A digital world is a surveillance society in mild disguise. We're living in an interesting era where money is becoming more and more worthless and data more and more priceless.

If 7500 people sold their souls to Gamestation how many things do you think could be hidden in other TOS screens?

When you play with somebody else toys you play by their rules, whether you are aware of them or not.

Way ahead of you there bud:

And lets not speak about the fact that the new Xbox is being used to infiltrate terrorist groups:

Which in itself is a good thing, the bad part is all the regular folk that get compromised calling other people dickbutts and whatnot without a cllue that someone else is listening into their profanity.
