first expansion for an A1200 would be fast ram 4 or 8 Mb but if you got the cash you better of going for an accelerator as some ram expansions conflict with the pcmcia port when over 4Mb
Noted, thanks. Any specific accelerator you'd advise I should look out for?

I'd put my 5 cents on a Blizzard 1230 Mk IV with 32 or 64 MB RAM. Very nice mid-range card, very stable and compatible with everything and there is extensive knowledge base about it. For a bit more budget route I also like the Blizzard 1220 which can be had for quite reasonable prices compared to the bigger brother and still gives a nice performance boost and 4 MB extra fast RAM.

Now I have a room and a storage room full of Amiga/Commodore stuff. And I keep getting more.. ;)
Likewise, though my collection is more 8-bit intensive. Nightmare, isn't it? :)

I like to think it's paradise :-) my heart it also closer to 8 bit (C64/128 mainly) and have extensive amount of the stuff and I love sitting in my workshop room in the middle of it all, there is always something new to fix/test/upgrade/clean/re-build.. But I slowly start to realize I might never complete my collection, goes something like: Oooooh a BOXED whatever on sale, but a yellowed case, hmmm, what if I take this nice case from this faulty one, and transplant the motherboard then I just need this cable and a manual and it's perfect set, but wait, might as well replace the caps on it, and then get this nice expansion for it, etc etc...

Seems to be a popular choice. Thanks.
