Based on the scheme and explanation given on Zimmers.net I have prepared everything to make a batch of this adapter.

To do this I transferred this schematic to kiCad and then made a couple of changes, I added the 100nF capacitors (opconal) and also a small selector to send the 5v to pin 5 of the DB9 connector or to pin 7 of the same.
With the 5v on pin 5 the joysticks connected to this adapter would behave like a Sega Megadrive controller, my 8-bitdo pad works in this mode.

Protect your TED chip and play with the joysticks of your Commodore 64. Furthermore you can use Sega pads.

Hello,
Will it be possible to use this reduction with this product please?
Thanks for the information.
Jack
p.s. the price of postage to the Czech Republic?
I don't think so.
It does not match the position of the two DB9 to be able to use both at the same time.

Certified shipping to your country is 7€.

It's clear to me that it can't be connected directly, I have connection cables, what I'm concerned about is whether the TED chip is in danger of malfunctioning when I connect some device.
So will TED be protected?

This system gives the TED Chip some protection. But always be careful not to connect anything with the computer on.
You can use cables, but I think it is not the best way.
