Received and tested. Excellent so far.

NOTE this works with the WIFI dongle and Commotron Gamepad Turbo 2000 Super from Tentelian Gaming! I just tested it! :) Map for C64 use and it works great!
 
This looks amazing! Love the form factor and that it is so small.

I am a Plus/4 noob (have ordered one but not even received it yet) as well as an electronics noob, so hope it's ok a have two questions:
  • It looks like joysticks can damage/break the TED-chip, in some situations. Does this interface protect from that? So it should be safe to use a joystick with auto-fire, for example?

    (I saw e.g. the discussion at https://plus4world.powweb.com/forum/23119)

  • The switch for C64/Megadrive controllers sounds cool. A question: Will it be safe for the TED-chip if the switch is in the wrong position? (if a C64 joystick is connected, but the switch is in Sega Megadrive position, or the other way around)
 
Many Commodore 16/+4 have a broken TED chip due to the use of Joystics. The ports are connected directly to the TED chip without any protection in between.
This interface adds protection, but always be careful.
With the selector you can choose between using a classic Commodore Joy or another one that needs 5v on pin 5.

Received the item today. Seller sent item very quickly but shipping seemed to be insanely slow (which was obviously not seller's fault).

It's true, I think it's the slowest shipment I've ever sent.
But in the end it arrived before Christmas.
